Don't get me wrong, the change occurred under your care so I believe you played a crucial part. But that was not god.
I will agree that those things are possible, but they take time and I'm speaking of events that happen instantly. Do I believe that our care for her has helped her, of course love always has an effect on people mentally ill or not. God put her in our care because He knew we would love her, she is the daughter I never had.

Was the god who put the woman in your care the same god who put those nine people down in South Carolina in the care of Dylan Roof? So god picks and choses who he wants to help. That doesn't prove anything and says nothing about the treatment of the majority of people.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
