If that were not the case, Trump would not have selected an ANTI LGBT bigot. My STATE NC GOP party got bitch slapped by a circuit court for what the court saw as "DELIBERATE gerrymandering to purge voter lists from liberals and MINORITIES". And over the past several years SEVERAL states have mimicked the same types of laws.
