He was doxxing a student, sending out personally identifying information to his Twitter followers because she was a trans person that Milo felt couldn't pass. His alt-right army was sending death threats and threatening personal relationships with this person. This is the same reason why reddit shut down /r/alt-right yesterday. It gets actually dangerous.

Wait, isn't protest free speech?

No SC, violent protests that destroy public property and physically assaults innocents aren't an expression of free speech.

I don't even think what we saw there could be equated to any kind of a protest. Whatever message that so called peaceful protesters want to convey to the public will be overshadowed by the kind of behavior that we saw at Berkeley. What we witnessed was a modern day version of Kristallnacht. A riotous fringe mob of authoritarian anarchist thugs who committed arson, destroyed property, and committed assault. Whatever peaceful protest it began with ended up being a violent and destructive riot. That's the image which sticks in the mind of the public. Despite the condemnations from some on the left for these actions the damage has already been done.
