Hope they were not to expensive because their effectiveness is highly questionable. (google name and webMD for a start). These fall under CAM (complementary and alternative medicine).
Just because a doctor promotes them does not make the legit.

If this were my surgeon I'd start looking for another.
Yabut... if I changed doctors every time one sells alternative stuff of questionable effectiveness, I'd be out of doctors to go to in the area in no time.
He didn't sell them. He recommended them to be taken in addition to all the usual drugs you take after surgery. I did some research and a lot of cosmetic surgeons recommend those 2 supplements to help with the healing process after a procedure.
