You presented that the Ghostbusters movie, by its content, has something to do with IMDB shutting down their boards. That is a disingenuous and misleading portrayal.
It's more accurate to say the movies detractors in their bizarre quest to rail about the movie have drawn unwanted attention to the IMDB staff.
That's my problem - you more blamed the movie for its haters than you blamed its haters.
You don't see SJWs making a huge stink over DW Griffiths Birth of a Nation despite its pro-KKK outlook, nor any other controversial movie (Innocence of Muslims) on the IMDB boards at the scale that the anti-Ghostbusters brigade did.
