For me, Melissa McCarthey was the only decent thing in the new Ghostbusters, and I didn't even know who she was. Even then, pretty much the only scene that actually made me laugh is the one where they leave for their first ghost encounter; after McCarthey tells not-Venkman to come on, and she says "I'm not going with you", tells her that "you were never invited - I just need you to leave so we can lock up the lab". But yeah, most everything else is pretty dire; and not in terms of comparing it to the original. I mean it's just badly structured in its own right.
