She definitely gives memorable performances. Normally I hate the roles where you're embarrassed for the actor/actress (think Superstar), but McCarthy pulls it off. Probably because you're not too embarrassed for her, she's just a little pathetic. Come to think of it, that's kind of how Moranis did it.
