Before such things became superfluous because of the internet, I used to have tide table book. It was pretty accurate. Nobody seriously expects that the bible or other holy book is super predictable. Of course even if you did think that, you'd then have the problem of how to interpret what it is it supposedly is predicting. Bunch of malarky really.
In his defense, the tide book can tell the factual future. Only buffoons can believe something telle the true future, which has everything to do with what the buffoon wants the future to be, nothing to do with what the future will be.
