Indeed it is impossible to understand. If a man died then nobody is saved, because the death of a man could save no one. If God died on the cross then we have an impossibility. God can not die. If the God/Man died, then we have either an impossibility or an insufficiency.

Last I heard is that God being is the Father of all mankind and God and Christ being one, she was his daughter and also his sister.

Well it is very questionable how much it was actually read. For instance in medieval times the Bible was only in Latin so mostly priests and monks could have read it and they're in for the money. Then later when it was translated people did point it out, but as you may know those were few brave people because Church didn't look kindly at people that questioned the Bible.

My faith is based on solid revelation. I've also researched and considered alternatives, such as three and a half years in this forum. I've deliberately opened myself to all the questions. It's not simply a feeling.
Still, how would you differentiate your belief from a delusion? We have unshakable testimony of countless people who feel in their heart that the Emperor of Japan is divine, or that Muhammad's revelations in the Koran are true. How do you know you're not delusional? I think you're not aware how easily it is for human brain to be tricked. Fro instance horror movies do this. If I watch a scary movie I may get a feeling that somebody is watching me, although I know I'm alone in the room. That feeling can be really believable and I can imagine if there were people that would encourage me to hod to this feeling and praise me for it I may even see it as a revelation. Especially if my family and other people went trough the same thing.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
