Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on radical Islam's approach:
Quote:[...] ratchet up acceptance of Sharia law, and then, only when they were strong enough, rise up and violently impose Sharia from within. He said the brothers would relentlessly continue their attacks and the American people eventually would become so tired, so frightened, and so weary of war that they would just want it to end.
"Eventually," KSM said, "America will expose her neck to us for slaughter."
And it's working. Europe will fall first. America will take longer just due to geography.
What jurisdiction do you think would accept Sharia law? The conservative states would reject it as being foreign and unAmerican, and the liberal states would reject it as being misogynist.
KSM may think he formulated a great plan, but the only time he visited America was in manacles. He's hardly an expert on how the American citizenry would respond to Sharia.
And if he thinks us rednecks to submit to a violent uprising, he's only further flaunting his own ignorance.
I wonder, therefore, why you would parrot it. Do you really misunderstand your fellow Americans on such a profound level? Or do you have another motivation, another agenda, that this unreasonable stance is intended to advance?
Quote:OK, what legal distinctions do you see between citizens and non-citizens?
Not my question, but I'll answer: they cannot access the same menu of benefits that citizens can. Non-citizens (assuming they're working, which the overwhelming majority are) pay taxes, but cannot vote.
That doesn't mean that they aren't covered by the 14th Amendment, because as noted above, the 14th Amendment was specifically written to cover non-citizens as the institution of slavery was dismantled.

It's a place where fascism is not, and cannot be allowed to become the law of the land. A place where we justly discard ignorant bigotries, rather than elevate them to positions of highest authority.
So that's it? The president they opposed got elected?
