Isn't 'conservative liberal' an oxymoron? If anything he sounds like a practicalist with a strong leaning towards favoring personal freedoms. Not a centrist, but doing what everyone who exercises critical thought does, picking and choosing what they like from either side of the spectrum. I hate that there's a divide there called 'left' and 'right'. If something makes practical sense and something doesn't, that seems a much better way to divide up policies than something like conservative or liberal. Those terms become loaded as a result and have largely negative connotations like bigots and idiots or elitists and cowards.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
