To be clear, pool, I can count on one hand the number of times someone has pitched a hissy fit about not being able to edit their posts. This being the biggest such hissy fit.
I assume people run into the edit limit all of the time, as I did when I wasn't staff, and figure out on their own how to deal with it, as you did. You're a big boy, you'll be okay.
As has been said 1000 times, staff are just regular members with some extra buttons. We can behave in a manner consistent with the rules. I reserve the right to treat you like a petulant child if you act like a petulant child. Your refusal to accept the explanation you've been given is typical of your behavior in the past on this forum. You trying to act like staff has been unfair after giving you several explanations and you framing it like you're just making a "small request" or a "simple suggestion" and we're being unreasonable is more immaturity, but I guess we should be used to it.
Just like the other thread, if you've got something in your head, it's like religious dogma, you'll defend it with blind allegiance.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
