Thousands of testimonials from a group of people are declared unreliable.

You have failed to provide said thousands.
The book you keep touting will have a few tens, at best.

So, where did you pull the "thousands" number out of?

Yet if an atheist thinks he has heard a rumor that someone at Fatima DIDN'T see something, suddenly that one testimonial has all the value in the world! You think people don't see this double standard?

Of course, if a poor sod happened to be pissing behind a tree at that time, how would he see anything?

From the divine, from the entity for which anything is possible, I expect nothing short of EVERYONE ON EARTH!. Repeatedly, cyclically, several times during each person's lifetime.
But that's not what I get!
I certainly don't expect Bone Cancer on infants! But that's what we get.


This poor god show of a wobbly sun viewable solely by a few that were gathering in an already Catholic location of the planet... is such a weak show.... so weak, that I'd be ashamed of it, if I were a believer... "Is this all, God?"

It's also interesting how not a single person in this discussion supported their argument that there were people at Fatima who didn't see anything. Now we all know why that is now don't we ???? Because the testimonials say the opposite. But then testimonials are no good, so you are back to square one. You are living a lie people.

Because the people who didn't see a thing, didn't provide a testimonial. DUH!!! There's a name for this fallacy... If only my memory worked decently for names of mostly useless things, I could tell you.

Another atheist double standard: they don't trust testimonials or anything written that they don't personally find appealing, yet continuously throughout this conversation they pull up random quotes from random websites and post them with complete trust without even looking into the sources that were used to create those websites. Then they say, "SEE!, there's the proof!". You people are nothing but hypocrites and everyone sees it.

I've addressed various of your points, I've asked you for information and clarification on a few details. You have ignored everything you felt would tarnish your argument.

And most amazing of all, you have to love all the vulgarities and insults that appear post to post - they so eloquently flow out of your mouths and make your posts SO much more convincing. Not. Do you have ANY idea how much this makes you look like imbeciles and destroys your credibility? A simple example: if I ask a teenage kid, "what's 8x9?", and he immediately responds back with, "Get the #$%^ out of here you &($#", what would that immediately tell you? It would immediately tell you that he doesnt know the answer and that he is embarrassed that you put him on the spot, otherwise he would've just given the answer. 98% of the posts in this asylum are the same way - full of vulgarities and insults right out of the gate because you guys have no solid answers. You make up answers on-the-fly and just throw them out there and they are batted down immediately. Pretty ridiculous.

If you'll learn to read a forum, you'll find that that your sweeping brush is incorrectly applied to a few of us.... but you don't like "anything written that [you] don't personally find appealing", or so I've heard...

I always used to wonder why atheists are always so angry and bitter, but now it's more obvious to me. You guys are constantly fighting your consciences when facts are pointed out to you. It's a never-ending internal struggle that can never lead to happiness.

How does it feel to be unable to understand psychology, physics and sociology, so that you believe any crap that's fed to you?
It must hurt... I think I'd be constantly kicking and punching my own face to try to get what's inside to work.

You think I'll be happy to just accept something as true without due course of investigation? No, I will never be happy at such a thing.

I'm happy to try to figure out how the world actually works. If, in due course, a disembodied, extra-universal conscious entity does crop up, then so be it. Until then, no, I can never be happy with that hypothesis.

They are positively benign compared to what your church has done to humanity over the past 1700 years.  Consider yourself fortunate indeed that we are civilized people who choose to use strong words instead of swords, torture, and burning people alive.
