Gawd created the torturers and the torture chamber, yet it's absolved of all responsibility for the torture performed there.
God did create hell and it's not torture when you choose to subject yourself to hell, you have a choice, no one need to be in hell.

That's because your god doesn't "work" at all -- it's no more than a primitive fiction that humanity is gradually outgrowing.
Really, there are more Christians now than ever before. God's at work ceaselessly and I have seen Him in action.

Astreja Wrote:I disagree. I think that at very least you use it to attempt to regain the upper hand in the conversation. I do hold you responsible for your threats regardless, because your imaginary friend ain't the one making 'em.
No, I've stated this since I've been here but, it's your right to disagree. You can't hold God nor myself responsible because neither of us use it as a scare tactic, neither of us want to see anyone in hell. The choice is your's to make and it is what it is.

Astreja Wrote:From my POV, not one of you is actually "saved." I believe that there are no gods, heavens or hells awaiting any of you, and that your fates are identical to mine -- death and insentience, and the loss of everything we ever knew and believed, without any hope whatsoever of continuance beyond the grave. You will one day lose your faith, and not even know that it is gone.
I thank God your opinion doesn't count for who is saved. I'm most certainly glad I do not have to live with those thoughts. I know there is God and that much of my family will be with me in heaven. We all will experience the physical death some day but the spirit of man that God created will live on without ceasing. You may never be in heaven and I personally consider that a loss.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
