I'm aware it doesn't count in terms of the result, but using it to paint a picture that "America" didn't want a responsible adult is disingenuous. The fact that Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3 million votes, and his subsequent approval rating since taking office quickly dropped to below 40%, is evidence to the contrary.
Buyer's remorse and little more. If numb nuts builds his wall all of his supporters will be chanting his name again. So far, all he's done is fill his pockets from the public till.
P.S. The result is all that matters.
