The kid's out of control and it's bringing pressure on China from its trading partners and from the U.S. to do something about its not so obedient puppet ally. But, from Clinton to GW and to Obama none was able to pressure China in the way that Trump has to toughen up on NOKO. Somehow I think that China will work with elements inside the NOKO government to undermine and overthrow Kim and maintain their hold over Pyong Yang. I have to think that Kim's days are numbered.(September 21, 2017 at 8:18 pm)A Theist Wrote: Even though they want the buffer state I think regardless, even China's fed up with the Kim regime. Could be that China may even be looking to undermine Kim from within NOKO and replacing it with a puppet regime that they could keep on a much shorter leash. China has financial interests through trade with the U.S. and others to allow Kim to put it in jeopardy.
I agree that Beijing is tired of the bullshit too. I don't agree that it is a matter of any action by Trump, which was the crux of my disagreement. I think one reason China is so irritated with NK is that the NK diplomat tasked with handling Chinese relations was executed a couple of years ago, and then the murder last year by nerve gas of another of their NK contacts has them understanding that their own plans may be running aground. Trump, Obama, Bush, that doesn't matter.
I think their plans for puppeteering took an arrow to the knee, and as a result the Chinese are withdrawing support -- they are trying to remind Un how much he needs them.
