I think the point of this topic is that aliens represent big problem to Christianity, so much so that if intelligent aliens exist they would negate Christianity itself, bury it because of the reasons I mentioned. Because as much as it is ridiculous to believe one man's eating from a wrong tree condemned us to lifetime with viruses, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, hurricanes etc., and not just for us but for all animals as well, it is a totally new level of ridiculousness to believe that that same deed caused that happen all over universe, on every planet in every galaxy. So it would be a real test of endurance for people that believe in that crap.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
