It seems that these days the only thing the girl scouts have going for them is they accept gay and trans kids.

Other than that it's basically a cookie cartel.

I'm pretty sure I was dying from laughing so hard at that.

I'm semi-serious too. I used to defend the Girl Scouts because they seemed to be a pretty progressive organization. However I've heard from numerous sources now that it's basically about selling cookies and pretty much nothing else. This is probably an unpopular opinion in America but the cookies aren't even that good. There are way better cookies in grocery stores, sorry, but it's true. The thin mints are nice, but nothing special. I figure it's tradition that keeps them in a favorable view, I predict in a blind taste test they would lose out every single time.

So yeah, it's a cookie cartel that effectively uses slave labor in the form of little girls. If you found out that Nabisco had an army of girl sales reps that it didn't pay, you'd be outraged. The Girl Scouts are somehow immune.
