Sure you can.  It's more honest that having believers make up anything that make you forget the huge logical holes in the system.  You can't see the big picture without getting out of the bubble.

 Mutations are a loss of information not a gain, the loss comes from what is already there and it's actually not loss, it's replaced by something else already there. No new info at all, period.
