I've been lurking for a bit and will likely be more of a lurker than a poster, but will probably contribute my $0.02 worth from time to time.
I've been an atheist for close to 3 decades but it's not a terribly interesting or dramatic story. I was born into a family of Catholics who only went to church at Christmas, Easter, and whenever the grandmothers got it into their heads a display of piety was necessary to make the family look good.
I arrived at an "all in" moment in my early teens. I was either going to be an incredibly devout Christian, or I was going to become an atheist. In the end, common sense won out and I've been an atheist ever since. Nothing terribly dramatic about it although my dad may have uttered a curse word or two when he figured it out.
