Even if it resembles a factory, a factory still has to be built up piece by piece; its operations and equipment cannot and do not pop up ex nihilo. And, of course, factories tend to (and indeed, are expected to) have its equipment change over time. Comparing the idea of irreducible complexity (itself a bullshit idea that does not hold up) to the workings of a factory is...

Literally every body part people have claimed to be irreducibly complex has had its evolution among living species and fossils pretty well traced by people who make it their business to understand how it all worked.
