It harms us and this laughter is a disease that keeps people from uniting on the truth. Not only do Atheists laugh and mock religion, but most religious people, take it more of a game and plaything, and don't give it the proper due, and this especially true of those who take leadership authoritative roles with respect to it.
Leadership is a sacred position when it comes to guiding humans in their purpose.
It is not meant to be mocked and none but God's pure chosen exalted servants supposed to hold this position.
It is because we have taken the issue of leadership as a joke, that we are ruled today by people who are a joke. Of course there is not funny about the spiritual and physical harms that all result in this mocking attitude we have taken....
Because we laugh so hard at the issue of guidance, guidance itself becomes an issue of mockery and becomes a laughingstock to Satan and his forces.
This disease hardly escapes anyone, and the cure to it is serious resolve to be guided uponthe truth.
Making jokes about leaders doesn't mean that politics aren't taken seriously. If the leaders are bad and someone is moking them, it means that that person wishes for better leaders and tries to get others interested too. In democracy the nation is voting for the leaders. They might vote wrong because they've been manipulated, because they're sheep and do things without thinking. I highly doubt that they vote based only on jokes, and if they do we are very sorry.
As I stated, why would God be mad if the jokes were putting him in a good light? He is described as having feelings and being all knowing, shouldn't he get that this is a form of praise? shouldn't he be able to feel amused? He is described as our father, if I had any children, I would be flattered if they made Chuck Norris type of jokes about me.
