And being with them means you see the good they command and see the evil they forbid and help them commanding to good and forbidding evil. It means to fear no one but God, and that fear of anyone or humans should be derived only from your fear of God's cause, not fear of losing a perishing world that is bound to perish and death is not something anyone can escape.
It is to prefer the name of God and leader of time over oneself, although, all salvation and good lies in loving such a leader and preferring him over yourself so it's not like you lose truly anything by doing so.
Fear? didn't you say it's all about "loooove"?
Looks like I convinced you that it's mainly about fear in Islam !
