Sen. Rand Paul was attacked by his longtime neighbor “over some sort of planting or flora issue around the properties,” according to a tweet from a New York Times reporter.
Paul, 54, had five ribs broken when his neighbor, Rene Boucher, 59, tackled him from behind at the politician’s Kentucky home on Saturday, authorities said.
The two have been fighting “over yard waste and leaves blown on each other’s lawns for years,” a neighbor told CNN.
