Basically, I see a lot of fucked up people among the atheists here. I generally don't say anything except with Brian. Over in life sciences there's threads on the first page on social anxiety and Aspergers. Note that I don't post in those. But when one of you comes out and calls theists immature or maladjusted, that opens things up.
...or comparing religion to delusion and psychosis which happens quite a bit.
Well from my perspective it's hard not to see it as a delusion when many... not all but many... of its adherent's display all the hallmarks of delusion in their treatment of their beliefs; how they protect them, maintain them, and argue them. So even if I didn't see it before as a delusion, some of the batshit crazy and special pleading theories I've seen on this site, make me see it now... in some people. But as I said elsewhere, that's not enough to be an argument against god, but it's nonetheless hard to ignore.

I only thought it might help build better relationships. It would probably have been some benefit but I thought is was boring.
Well back in the day it did exactly that; it was mainly through that game that I came to know and be friendly with CL, Kingpin, and alpha. Maybe he's right, maybe it has gone downhill since then, but I'd like to think it hasn't; that we can separate our religious beliefs or lack of from the person and just be friends despite very different opinions outside of that. Anyway, I'm sorry you found it boring.
