You called a generally very level-headed poster a cunt for a one-off insult.

Aimed at children. He called children stupid. I called him a cunt. You also said we can dish it out but we can't take it. You've yet to show how I've dished out anything I can't take. Do you see me making threads insulting children?

Yeah I don't agree with Steve's response (which he has since apologized for), but cant entirely blame him for reacting that way to the person who makes a thread literally titled "Christian Parents Abuse Their Children."

Firstly, I called him a cunt before he apologized.

I know. I wasn't saying otherwise.

Secondly, the poster acting like an asshole (allegedly) doesn't make his kids fair game. I can blame him, and I did. His apology was cool, though not at all relevant to beta male's nonsense accusation that because I called the poster a cunt atheists can't take what they dish out. That's absurd. Beta himself dishes out far worse on a regular basis dating back five or more years.

Like I said, I agree Steve's comment wasn't right. But I wouldn't say he's a cunt for responding that way to accusations of child abuse. I would say he's human. People understandably don't take too well to being accused of abusing their own kids.

I think AM was saying it's a double standard to not say a peep when an atheist accuses all Christian parents of child abuse, but then use the word "cunt" at the christian who responded by calling the atheists daughters stupid. I think thats what he means by dish it but not take it, though he can correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally I think being a parent and being accused of abusing your own kids is worse than having someone retaliate by calling your teenage kids stupid.

But I agree both are wrong.
