It's not that the internet is "atheist", it's that the internet is a vehicle for information. Once people start sorting through the chaff, they see the religion they follow exposed. The same thing happens when a person takes a class in comparative religions. They get to see that all religions are bullshit. I'm frankly puzzled how a person can remain religious (except for culturally) in the face of the evidence of how man makes religion up. We have current examples in the Mormons and Scientology. One can sit there and say "Mine is true" until the cows come home, but if they peel back a scab or two and look at the history of religion, they should see the light.
