I just take what the gun nuts say they will do at their word. It's sort of like a catch 22. I think one of the reasons there hasn't been is that people understand the real consequences to that.

At what word?  How many 'gun nuts' have ever said, 'If the government tries to take away my assault rifle, I'm going to shoot up a school'?

You're coming off as dim, which isn't usually like you. They'll try to shoot the people who try to take their guns. They'll hole up and it will take a siege to get them out. Just like Waco and Ruby Ridge.

Because trying to confiscate guns from gun nuts is going I cause many many many times the mass shootings as are currently happening. I mean, duh.

If a Constitutional amendment was passed to ban ownership of handguns the Constitution's actual importance to the gunners would become immediately apparent.

At the point you could pass that Amendment, America would be ready for that level of gun control.
