I'm thinking she was gauging the reactions of others because of the current political atmosphere created by the Trumptard and his bigotry against Mexicans.

She looked scared. Like she saw a ghost. Like high beams were in her face.

I wouldn't count such a person as a friend.

I agree with you completely. You shouldn't be ashamed and you sure as hell shouldn't be meek. Idiots like Trumptards and their ignorance must be opposed. You don't do that by lowering your gaze or being quiet. Take it down their throats.

I've taken that approach to my atheism my whole life. I won't hide it, whisper it or apologize for it. Most everybody who knows me knows I'm an atheist.
