I'm still wondering if it was God's or Holy Spirit's.
I think it's important who's testicles (if more than one sperm cell was involved, I've heard individuals with counts below 50,000 are actually considered to be STERILE, and no one is claiming God (or Holy Spirit, for that matter) shoots blanks) fathered Jesus.
Scripture is clear, Holy Spirit did the deed, but Jesus is invariably referred to as God's son, not Holy Spirit's. So something was going on. Holy Spirit had a vessel of some kind to carry the load. Maybe there is an as yet unexplained Holy Relic in a cathedral in Italy somewhere that needs to be considered with this function in mind.
The 'smoking gun' if you will.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
