I think we all witnessed that every Christian (and every other religious person from religion that relies on religious text) interprets their religious text how ever they see it fit what they want and regard other Christians that don't see it the way they do as being on the wrong side of Christianity. That's why you'll never find same two christians who have same definition of what soul is, heaven is, god is and so on.
Like this Muslim woman that concluded that Islam should tolerate gays and probably thinks that Muslims that think how gays should be put to death are not only wrong, but not even Muslims.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
