Also, I would say the natural disposition is man and woman are attracted to each other, and if someone has alternate, they are being attacked by magic, and from my paradigm, they should be aware that is what is happening and society should not make it worse, by telling such a person, they are that way and there is nothing they can do about it.
All the same, we punish because of the consequences the choice leads toward, not for the choice itself. You've yet to establish such consequences.
If the choices are not in and of themselves immoral, we incentivize the good behavior, not punish the bad.
We force kids an education, because foregoing in these days, is really bad, and will leave them without the tools. There is consequences if Parent's don't give their kids education.
It's something society has agreed upon and it's a good choice.
I believe forsaking marriage while that is the ideal nature and to let magic override that natural disposition, is bad for society.
In fact, anything that is from black magic has to be resisted, and if we don't, we become easily manipulated in thoughts and begin to lose our will and power. That is already a consequence.
What is worse is when do so, but then believe we have no control over who we are and what states we choose and who we are attracted to.
Yes physical changes happen to the brain of a psychologically confused person who thinks he is the opposite gender in a human body for example, but those can be reversed, because the brain we know from neuroplasticity, can easily change with will of a human.
Responsibility lost in society is a huge loss. And we see this choice is leading people to assume everything humans succumb to, and any ill state they become, they had no control and have no control over.
