That's why they specifically chastised him for it. Also, it's parents. Mary is his parent, so is Joseph for that matter.
Jesus was honoring His Father, bold mine in red, Jesus was saying to His mother and Joseph that they should have come straight away to the temple because there was no other place He would be. They never told Jesus to come home with them so He couldn't have disobeyed them. Mary must not have seen what Jesus did as disobedience because she treasure all those things in her heart, a parent doesn't treasure disobedience. Bold in blue by me.
Now to address your purposeful misinterpretation, you say He ran away, the scriptures say He stayed behind, He may have been in the temple before they left but we know for sure He did not run away because He never left with them. Your deception was fruitless, truth always works best.

I do not see that I'm on any side, I am following God. Just because three did not tell of the healing doesn't mean it did not happen, the three that left it out had seen jesus heal the sick, cripple and blind many many times and would not be surprised at this healing. Luke on the other hand had not seen all those healings and as a doctor was fascinated by it.
This is all you see in this story pitiful, you were the one who said Jesus was promoting using violence and I was showing you that He wasn't, you strayed from the argument because you had none.

It's funny how you can switch between strict literalism and a very loose interpretation whenever it pleases you. Of course I knew there was no point in arguing with you anyway, because of that.
The scriptures said they believed He was with relatives and he was only a few years from what would have been considered adulthood. They did not specifically chastise Him, Mary asked Him a question, chastising doesn't have questions, it involves telling. Joseph understood He was the earthly parent of Jesus overseeing His development during childhood. Jesus himself told Mary He was doing His Father's work. I do not switch nothing at all, the verses say what they say and they did not say what you wanted them to. sorry if you have trouble understanding what they say, it's not my fault, I've been trying to teach them here for years but the atheist just want listen.
You're being a cry baby because I want give into your false accusations of the scriptures, seems to me you would be willing to argue with someone who desires to be consistent. I have always tried to be consistent and I'm not sure where you think I haven't.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
