Like religiousforums.com, they have specific areas that those who don't belong to the religion are not allowed to post in. They've specifically coded it that way, finally, because before that people were constantly getting into trouble trying to keep up with how the rules worked.
If it becomes enough of a problem like that here, either the same code will have to be implemented or the area removed.
We'll see, but I wouldn't mind giving it a shot.
But this is not apartheid, it's just a discussion between the christians on AF about what their roles are. For the rest of us it's like watching a talk show. And I would prefer Minimalist to at least feature on the show. Why you think fox news gets an atheist to be interviewed by one of their anchormen every now and then? For the views.
From what I understand, the reason Neo set it up to be just us is so that it can be a more productive, higher quality discussion without the distraction/detraction of other posts, considering the subject topic. It isn't about "not wanting to get his feelings hurt" or needing a "safe space". Pretty much the same reason I suggested a civility subforum.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
