Millions of non-Christians claim to have had great life changing experiences after joining any number of religions. That doesn't mean that those religions are correct. You need more than just experience to show that the religion is correct. Experience is only a small part of it. I understand that being Christian works for some people and helps them, and that's fine. Whatever works for you. "Faith is always the answer" still makes no sense though, because people can put their faith in a lot of things. An infinite amount of things, and Christianity is only one thing among those infinite amount of things. You have to be pretty lucky to put your faith into the right thing.
No luck concerning God, God calls us and we have the choice to answer or ignore. Yes faith is used in many things and every day, however the discussion was about God/religion and my response was to that and that alone. Like I said before if faith doesn't change a person then that faith is wasted on something that does not exist or the faith was not genuine to start with.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
