Lots of left wing people in America are not. I.e. the bernie Sanders type crowd. There have always been pro-protectionists. Also because I never heard Min specifically say anything about it until Trump. I sort of recall him saying some protectionist stuff actually, but I can't remember exactly.
Also when Bernie was in the primaries, I can't recall a group of people on here saying that he was going to start a trade war. Although to be fair, this place was super annoying around election time, and I wasn't on here much.
You don't have the slightest understanding of why I dismiss libertarians as crackpots. It is no longer 1830. You cannot run a modern state as if it were an agrarian society on the frontier. Something can be a nice idea and still be totally impractical. You cannot run a modern state....especially one which still has pretensions of being a major world power...on the basis of fucking insanity like this:
