I think everyone is, if they think about it at all.
I don't think they cling to their bibles for fear of death, as reassuring as it seems to atheists to think that. As an ex-theist, it wasn't one of my motivating factors to hang on. It's just easier to believe what you are already believing than to question the very pillars of your being. That's basically why people in general hang on to any belief, religious or not.
