Genesis interpretations - how many are there?
RE: Genesis interpretations - how many are there?
I wonder why modern Christians think God made the universe out of nothing when in the account he creates a space within the primordial waters of chaos for the earth to exist in, and creates a firmament to keep the water out (except for as much rain as God desires). Far below the foundations of the earth was the 'great deep', from which the waters needed for a global flood could be tapped, and to which they could go when it was time for the flood to subside. No more origin is given for the waters than for God, God doesn't create the waters in the account, his spirit moves over them to separate them. Just sayin'.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
