Great discovery.
Not much of an argument for theism, though.
1. He did not use the Bible as his source for his discovery
2. He used the scientific method (methodological naturalism), not theism as a source for his discovery
3. There are zero supernatural entities in his theory, nor does it point to a supernatural entity
4. The training that prepared Lametre to make his discovery, was from a completely secular science program at Cambridge, not his religious studies
5. And, as great as his discovery was, the observations he made were available to everyone. If Lametre did not make the observation, it would have been someone else before too long.
Looks like Tizheruk beat me to it....
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
