What are you talking about. Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Kosovo, Iraq, etc etc etc etc etc. Pissed away the trust in the US. If you think we've ammased some sort the f positive equity with out foriegn policy, you are out of you skull.
We certainly has amassed historically unprecedented foreign policy equity since 1943, in the form of creating insternational institutions in which all the leading economies have deep stakes and of which the US is clearly recognized as the main facilitator.
Except for the USSR/Russia, all major economies of the world SINCE 1945 would prefer most of the world to be ordered as the US had ordered it, and acknowledge American leadership as creating the environment in which they can both prosper and remain generally physically secure. Any conflict they individually have with the US is limited in scope compare to the synergy they have with American global leadership. This applies even to major theoretical peer competitors such as China.
It is this which trump pissed away. Now the world sees US as being destructive of the framework under which they’ve obtained general security and economic prosperity.
