Only half of Americans vote in presidential elections, fewer in midterms, and fewer still in off years. Any generation could drive politics by simply getting their entire generation to vote. But they don't, and yours won't either. Sorry if that's disillusioning, but it's simply fact. Human nature didn't suddenly change with your generation.
I get that the young tend to be liberal. But, unless you up your voting percentage, you won't be drivers, but merely participants like everyone else.
And not even like everyone else. No, it's not half of all generations. People 45+ are ~50% more likely to vote than those under 30:
