Worth noting that what is viewed as radical today is likely to become the orthodoxy 30/40 years down the road..in the transition between a persons busy twenties and their nothing-to-do-but-vote sixties. One of the amusing paradoxes of conservatism. Upholding the changing norms of successive generations.
If I understand you correctly, I'd have to say no, as conservatism is more than just what positions you support as it is the underlying rationales for supporting them. I don't think it's just radical opinions aging out until they become the norm. But then, I no longer have access to the study to say for certain what they actually were saying.
