Well, we all did until Yulia turned out to have been impregnated by her married lover. After that, I learned to just treat is as a sort of theater; I could enjoy Beatlemania knowing they weren't the actual Beatles, I could enjoy t.A.T.u. knowing they weren't actual lesbians.
If it makes you feel any better, Lena is more tolerant, having said in response to her former bandmate's remarks: "Hey, all! Ah... I only knew that song really (well, single)... I don't follow the cult of celebrity.
It's just strange to find that a homophobe and a Christian would choose to make that song in the first place. I still like the song, but the whole thing's just weird to me now. I wonder what these revelations are going to do for their sales... could go either way I think.
