I don't share your confidence in economic predictions. Consider all the predictions made regarding a Trump presidency. They were mostly off.

I'm not a republican or a dem...and I don't vote...so regardless of whether or not you..or some other person..is talking politics..I'm not. I'm just flat out noting that these tariffs are the single dumbest thing we've recently done...regardless of anyone's party affiliation, for reasons that are a known known (except to you, apparently)..in contradiction to your party prepared lines about maintaining an industry or dignity...which these tariffs don't do anyway...in a country which is the second largest manufacturer in the world, leads the world in heavy and military equip...and doesn't have the highest corporate tax rate.
