Nope.  I'm going to stop you right there.  Maybe there's no True Scotsman.  But I've seen what affiliations people have, and what ideas tend to come clustered together.  I've seen plenty on my own.  I've seen plenty of PC dicks, and I find their particular flavor of dickishness to be as thoughtless and damaging as those of the crazy right.

If you're basing your appraisal of a political ideology on what amounts to "I met this guy once"..I'm not going to be able to extend any credence to your subsequent appraisal of that ideology...particularly when I could point out in excruciating detail why both you and That Guy™ are wrong by reference -to- that ideology.

I don't know why you think..for example..that the left thinks that your opinions are invalid because you're a white male.  Now, I can hedge that with the fact that there has been a hard disinformation campaign by the lefts political opponents to that effect (hello identity politics!)..and you can tell me that this isn't the reason you think that - but again, that would be a massive coincidence.

And I didn't say I hate identity politics per se.  I said, for example, that I felt that native minorities should be offered all possible assistance just by their membership in that demographic.  What I hate is people using demographic identity as a scapegoat, or as a card to play to dodge personal responsibility.  I've given numerous examples, both hypothetical and from my own experience, where this expression of PC politics has been deleterious.

Endlessly creative assholes loosely gaming the framework of what you think is the leftist position..does not make that the leftist position..even if you really did meet that asshole...which I'm sure you did...because assholes demonstrably exist, even if your appraisal of the lefts ideology is demonstrably false.

I'm not telling you that there are no true scotsmen..I'm telling you that there -are-, and that your description of them is non-factual.
