Just because it is ivy league doesn't mean it isn't religious. Notre Dame is a Catholic College. At minimum those who lead the study were bias with bigoted leanings. The AMA has long since said homosexuality is normal. And we are growing to learn that the brain does not always fit the plumbing, which is why Transgender get sex changes.
Take your pick.

Really? That's why you think it's a religious institution? According to wiki, Brown was the first US college to accept students regardless of religions affiliation. And
Quote:Brown's faculty and alumni include eight Nobel Prize laureates, five National Humanities Medalists[13] and ten National Medal of Science laureates. Other notable alumni include eight billionaire graduates,[14] a U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice, four U.S. Secretaries of State and other Cabinet officials, 54 members of the United States Congress, 55 Rhodes Scholars, 52 Gates Cambridge Scholars[15] 49 Marshall Scholars,[16][17] 14 MacArthur Genius Fellows,[18] 21 Pulitzer Prize winners, various royals and nobles, as well as leaders and founders of Fortune 500 companies
I took the liberty of browsing their website, and nothing I saw indicates that they're a religious school of any denomination.
Boru
That does not stop religious people from applying and getting in. And as old as that college is, you cannot claim that it was not more religious when it was founded. I graduated from a college Jerry Falwell left. Moron claimed it was because my college didn't teach "real Christianity". My college started out as deeply religious when it was founded, but over the years it scrapped that and became secular.
Just like you cannot separate Notre Dame from it's Catholic start. The college I graduated from had originally a very Christian name.
Brown's shield has a cross on it. If it were 100% neutral and secular it would not have that.
Regardless. The "study" is nothing but making excuses for bigotry.
If Muslims argue that Transgender is wrong, or a "defect" and even if I agreed it was, which it is not, would you still buy that argument?
THE AMA is what matters. Not bigoted bullshit from religious people. And even with transgender, we are finding out that the brain does not always match the plumbing.
If you want to play apologist for asshole bigots, you can. I refuse. It still amounts that if you are not involved in that relationship, between partners, or the relationship between the transgender and doctor, YOU HAVE NO SAY.
