RE: News as surprising as another mass shooting: California ablaze again/still

The internet is finally up for us, after the entire county was without it. A lot of the phone lines also are supported by internet providers, as well as TV. We had none of it for about 24 hours, since we use our internet provider for all of them. To top it off, several of the cell towers around where I live burned down as well, so cell phone connectivity was almost nonexistent. I salute the people who went out and repaired all that infrastructure. The winds have pretty much died down, so the smoke is everywhere, though thankfully quite thin where we are. What a mess! Looks like about 41,000 acres burned between the two fires. The Woolsey fire was hardly news until it roared down into Malibu where all the beautiful people live. In all, about 200,000 people were forced to evacuate. Many are going back to look at a pile of ashes where they used to live. The drought has done serious damage to California; this is one example of what global warming is going to do, going forward.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
