The natural texture of Black people's hair is coiled. If a Black person straightens their hair, with chemicals, straighteners or other means, then it is no longer wearing naturally.
How does this situation apply to us non-Black people?
What is naturally about a crew cut or a Mohawk?
If you check the link, there are black kids at the school with natural hair. The school prohibits dreadlocks, which are not natural (they won’t grow out of your head on their own).

The size and length of hair is not the same issue as not allowing natural texture of hair.
Personally I grow my hair long down to my shoulders as a symbolic rejection of the military and patriotism
