Not the point. If their supporters want to say, "I am not like them" or " I don't like what Trump says all the time", then the responsibility is on them to turn to those who say and do those vile things and tell them to knock it off.
We are not talking about politics as normal. Now is not the time to say, "Oh well, what are you going to do".
Just recently Pence tried to equate Trump to MLK. That is fucking nonsense, and not only nonsense, it is really another dangerous attempt for him to wink at far right white bigots and tell them they are now the new oppressed group.
And even today the orange turd, after years of shitting on Hispanics/Mexicans and Puerto Rico, is now saying that he is a friend of those groups because he threw in a DOCA plan to his 5 billion dollar vanity project which was nothing more than pandering to his bigoted base.
If his supporters want to say others in their ranks don't represent them, so what? They have no right to bitch if they don't want to clean their own house.
Well, the point wasn't Trump supporters talking to other Trump supporters, it was the futility of non-Trump supporters reasoning with Trump supporters.
You of all people should be very, very careful of using the phrase 'not the point'.
