People are not always logical and our electoral system is flawed. Al Gore and Hillary Clinton both won more votes than their opponents.
Hillary got 2,868,686 more votes than Trump and, due to the ridiculous Electoral College system, she lost. The 20th largest margin of difference in popular votes between major party candidates, and she still fucking lost.
